The former couple shares five children: daughters Brandi, Miley, and Noah, along with sons Trace and Braison.
Musician Billy Ray Cyrus got engaged to Firerose, a much younger woman he first met on the set of Hannah Montana, though the two have since divorced.
Meanwhile, in August of last year, Tish Cyrus married Australian actor Dominic Purcell. However, fans noticed that Noah and Braison were missing from the ceremony, fueling speculation of a family rift.
On the day of her mother’s wedding, Noah shared a photo of herself and Braison at a Walmart in California, both wearing Billy Ray Cyrus T-shirts. Initially, fans interpreted this as a subtle show of support for their father.
However, sources later claimed that Noah wasn’t actually invited to the wedding.
An insider revealed to Us Weekly that Noah, 24 was reportedly dating Dominic, 54, at the same time Tish began pursuing him.
The insider said, “The tension between Noah and Tish goes much deeper than people realize.”
“Noah is really upset, feeling that Tish stole Dominic from her.”
This claim was supported by another source who told People, “Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends-with-benefits way, off and on. They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something up.”
“Tish never gave Noah the chance to talk about all of this before they got married.”
According to People, an insider has now shared Miley Cyrus’ perspective on the situation.
“Miley had no idea about the drama with Dominic. No idea at all. She confronted her mom about it. She thinks it’s a strange situation, but she loves her mom and wants her to be happy.”
